Wiesenbach by Malcolm Rochford

Return to Showcase page

Malcolm has always been inspired by mountain railways, where impressively long trains labour uphill framed by spectacular scenery, a situation further enhanced by the use of banking or pilot engines assisting trains over the summit. Wiesenbach came out of many years of researching the Arlberg main line which runs west of Innsbruck via the Inn valley to Landeck over the Arlberg pass and on to Bregenz via Bludenz. Whilst Wiesenbach is not an actual location it captures the essence of the line. (Trackplan).
