Welcome to the Austrian Railway Group

The Group was established in 1992 with the aim of promoting the study of Austrian Ralways from their earliest beginnings through the present day and into the future. Currently there are in excess of 250 members worldwide although the vast majority are based in the United Kingdom. Membership of the Group is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has an active interest in Austrian railways and tramways (both full size and model). A journal is produced  four times a year to keep members informed of current events in Austria. It also often contains historical articles written by members who are keen to share their research with a wider audience.

In addition the Group publishes a number of books on specific topics as well as selling items of general interest such as Christmas cards and key rings. These items are available to non - members through the sales stand which visits a number of model railway exhibitions and railway open days throught the year (and also by mail order).
